Outdoor Use in Sun

Firefly Magic Firefly Lights are designed to operate effectively with only 2 - 3 hours of direct sun on the Solar Panel Assembly during the day. This amount of sun will maintain a full charge in the two AA rechargeable batteries.

If the unit receives more than 2 - 3 hours of sun per day, that's not a problem.

However, if the unit is receiving less sun, and the 'Fireflies' begin to get dim at night, see our section on Outdoor Use in the Shade just below.

Firefly Magic® Firefly Lights are designed for year around outdoor entertainment in temperatures from 0°F to 140°F.

However, in harsh winter climates it is recommended that the 'Fireflies' be brought indoors. This is because extremely low temperatures can cause plastic to become brittle and break. In addition, low temperatures can shorten rechargeable battery life - see BATTERY INFORMATION.
